Join us at the LREXPO on February 5th in Brussels!

Don’t forget to register for our annual event, the LRE Forum, to be held in Brussels on February 4 and 5th, 2020. The event comprises the LRE Conference, the LRE Gala, and the LREXPO. Notable speakers, including architect and designer Daniel Liebeskind, will feature the Conference, whereas the Expo will represent a unique chance of networking for our partners and members organisations.

Join us for two familiarisation trips, organised in the framework of the LREXPO. One trip will take us to Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and the Netherlands, tracing back the steps of the Allies in the Battle of the Bulge, in the Hürtgen Forest, in the Battle of Overloon, and Operation Market Garden. See the complete program here.

The second FAM trip will take us to Italy and Czech Republic, following the Southern route to the liberation. We will visit Rome, Monte Cassino and the Gothic Line fortifications in Tuscany before flying to the Czech Republic to visit the town of Pilsen and the Terezin concentration camp. A detailed program can be found here.

For any information about the trips and to register for them, please contact our Press & Communication Advisor Gert-Jan Jacobs via email or phone (+31 622867342).

Season’s Greetings!

As this very special 75th anniversary year of the end of WWII is about to begin, all of us at the Liberation Route Europe Foundation would like to take a moment to thank you for your support throughout 2019.

As we look back at the successful projects and events of the past year, it is clear that our shared commitments and collective efforts have made them possible. Working towards common goals and recognising the continued importance of commemorating this period in history is more relevant than ever before, and we are looking forward to all that 2020 will bring. Just as the brave soldiers of the Royal Artillery featured in this photo from December 1944 did after liberating Venray in the Netherlands, it is a moment to celebrate our achievements, and to reflect on the continued shared peace and freedom that their sacrifice led to.

The Liberation Route Europe Foundation team wishes you all the best for this holiday season!
